New Lancia Delta S by MOMODESIGN presented at the Geneva Motor Show

This new version of the aging Lancia Delta will come with several exterior and interior improvements but you won't have any new engines to choose from. That is sad since the Delta is a cool car with distinctive looks and deserved a more powerful engine.

The partnership with MOMODESIGN means the special edition Delta will come with side skirts and bumpers in the same shade as the body, Ecochrome finishes, burnished headlights, 18 inch wheels, twin chrome exhaust tail pipe, gloss black tailgate and two new colors; Anthracite Grey and Anthracite Grey/Eclipse Black two-tone, besides the already available Zenith White, Magma Black and the Zenith White/Eclipse Black two-tone.

Inside we also have Ecochrome inserts (excluding outlets), plus a gloss black central console, yellow tachometer and specific seats in leather and ballistic fabric. But you don't think they are bullet-proof, because they aren't. You also get as standard cruise control, dual-zone automatic climate control, electrically operated mirrors and, on request, the rear arm rests and the Blue & Me system can be added.

The S by MOMODESIGN is available with the 120hp 1.6 MultiJet, 120hp 1.4 TurboJet LPG, 190hp 1.9 Twinturbo MultiJet and 120hp 1.4 TurboJet engines. And you can combine those engines with a 6-speed manual, Sportronic 6-speed automatic/sequential or a robotised/sequential 6-speed Selectronic transmission.

I wouldn't mind having the 190hp 1.9liter Twinturbo MultiJet with 400Nm that reaches 100km/h (62mph) in under 8 seconds and has a top speed of 222km/h (138mph). But if you want to save some money choose the LPG engine, which is the 1.4liter TurboJet with 120hp and 206Nm of torque with a range of 1411km (877 miles).

Presentation will take place at the Geneva Motor Show and sales start the following month.
