The 2014 ŠKODA Superb also got a facelift

Both the Skoda Superb and the Superb Combi suffered a small facelift in order to maintain a more fresh look on the inside and the exterior. The Superb will have its premiere at the "Volkswagen Group Night" that will take place on the eve of the Shanghai Motor Show, on April 19, 2013.

The front end has been completely redesigned up to the A-pillar, in particular the head lamps, grille, the new logo, bonnet (hood), bumper and fenders. The rear was also redesigned. The tail lights now have three LED stripes giving it an improved look. Skoda now offers two new colors, metal gray and moon white, and several new 16 to 18 inch alloy wheels.

Inside, Skoda made available new three and four spoke steering wheels and nine new fabrics and patterns for the seat covers as well as new designs. The hatchback and the combi are still the best in their class regarding the space in the trunk, with 595 and 633 liters, respectively.

The new engines save more than 19% fuel in comparison with their predecessors. Helping achieve that number are the start–stop and kinetic energy recuperation systems that are standard in the all diesel engines and in the entry level 1.4 liter TSI with 125PS (92kW or 123hp) petrol unit in European countries.

The new Superb GreenLine now consumes 4,2 liters per 100km (67,26 UK mpg or 56 USA mpg), meaning it emits just 109g of CO2 every km. If you choose the Superb with the 2.0 liter TDI producing 140PS (103kW or 138hp) you now have available a manual transmission in the 4x4 version, and if you want the all-wheel drive version with the 2.0 liter TDI 170PS (125kW or 168hp), you will have it with the six-speed DSG dual clutch transmission.
