Official: First images of the Hyundai i10! More coming soon

Called Grand i10 in India, the new Hyundai i10 got an early reveal in that market, possibly ruining the European public presentation that was going to take place at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The main difference between them is that the European version will be shorter and will have LED day running lights (DRL).

In comparison with its predecessor, the new i10 is longer (80mm), wider (65mm), shorter (50mm), and also has a 5mm longer wheelbase. This means it now has 3660mm in length, 1660mm in width and 1490mm in height. The boot can take around 250 liters, which is good for such a small car. The Grand i10 will be 100m longer than the i10.

When sales start, the i10 will come with a new 1000cc, three-cylinder petrol engine that develops 65PS (64bhp or 48kW), and a four-cylinder, 1.2-liter unit that generates 87PS (86bhp or 64kW). In 2014, the three-cylinder will also be available as a bi-fuel variant, meaning you can put LPG in it.

All we need is the official press release and more pictures to make it final. I am sure they will soon appear.
