Hybrid Air, a new type of an hybrid gasoline system [Video]


While most carmakers use hybrid systems with batteries, the PSA Peugeot Citroen Group intends to follow another path, using an all-new technology combining petrol internal combustion engine and compressed air storage, "Hybrid Air".

This is a compact, lightweight electric vehicle, with only 2.81m long, it has 3 seats, weighs under 700kg and is considered to be a tricycle because when the car has 2 rear wheels on a track with less than 460mm it is considered as a single-wheel axle.

First image of the new Citroën C4 Picasso


Here you have the first image of the upcoming third generation of the small MPV, Citroën C4 Picasso, without camouflage. The current model was launched in 2006 with 5 seats and 2007 with room for 7. In 2010 Citroën gave a facelift to the C4.

Citroen 2CV will return later this year


Seems it is normal for a company to return with a modern version of an older modelthat is no longer produced, Fiat did it with the 500, BMW with the Mini, and now we will see the return of the Citroen 2CV or "deux chevaux" or even "deux chevaux-vapeur (fiscaux), which literally means "two tax horsepower".
 

Short News: Citroen ends production of the C6


The large flagship sedan from Citroen is no longer produced, and this can be explained with the weak sale numbers of the car, with only 556 C6s sold in Europe in the first 10 months of this year. Also, the car was really ugly, and that didn't help against the BMW 5 Series, the Audi A6 and the Mercedes E Class.

GM and PSA don't like each other anymore


General Motors and PSA are no longer in talks for a possible tie-up between Peugeot and Opel for an operational partnership. Several people with direct knowledge of those discussions have said the negotiations stopped because of the French carmaker's worsening finances and government-backed bailout.
